Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English performer and musician. Jessie was first noticed for her unique style of music that incorporates soul vocals with hip-hop and pop with electropop. She has received awards like the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and BBC's Sound of 2011 as well being nominated for numerous awards. Jessie began her professional career at the young age of 11 when she was in the production of 'Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. The year 2002 was the time she was cast as a part of"The Late Sleepers," a "National Youth Musical Theater" performance of "The late sleepers." The year 2011, when she was famous when she released her debut studio album 'Who You Are'. It was an instant success. In just the first week, 105,000 copies were sold in the UK and 34,000 across the US. The album debuted at the number 2 on the UK Albums Chart', and in the top 11 spot on the "US Billboard 200..' Jessie is also recognized for her charity work and is involved with charities such as "Children in Need' and 'Comic Relief.'
